Prospective Mentor FAQ

As a mentor, what type of support am I providing students?

You will help with everything your student will possibly need to succeed as a pre-med high school student. You will provide full-spectrum support that covers every single variable of the T50 and BS/MD admissions process, including:

- Academic Optimization: Strategic course selection and high-stakes test planning.

- Narrative Building: Constructing a theme true to your student with intentional extracurricular selection.

- Extracurricular Engineering: Creating and scaling Signature Projects and clubs that stand out.

- Research & Clinical Acquisition: Sourcing, networking, and securing lab positions and shadowing.

- The Application Suite: Personal statements, secondary essays, and activity description brainstorming + editing.

- Interview Mastery: Full simulations for traditional and MMI interviews.

In short, if it impacts your student's chance of admission, you will guide them through it.

What's the compensation?

We only accept the highest level of mentors with a proven track record of success. For this reason, we're offering mentors $40-60 per hour, plus bonuses.

How long do I need to commit for this role?

You must commit a minimum of one year for each student that you take on to ensure continuity and a longitudinal relationship between student and mentor.

What can I expect during the interview?

Your 30-minute interview will cover an overview of the mentor position and questions assessing your alignment with our values.

How long after applying can I expect to hear back about my application?

We review applications on a rolling basis. If we think you'd be a good fit, we'll send you an interview invitation within a month of your submission.
