Q1: What qualifications do your tutors have?
Our mentors are Ivy League pre‑medical and medical students who have successfully navigated the pre-med process at top high schools and universities. They offer a recent, relevant perspective: something many traditional advising services, often led by professionals long removed from the process, can’t provide.
Each mentor is carefully selected for their exceptional academic achievements, leadership experience, writing ability, and commitment to mentorship and educational equity. Together, they deliver the high‑touch, comprehensive guidance that defines the Nexus advising experience.
Before enrollment, you’ll receive a curated list of potential mentors to choose from, ensuring the best personal fit. Your selection can also be adjusted after the trial period to guarantee the right match for your needs.

Q3: How long do mentorship engagements last?
Our longitudinal mentorship model is designed to take students from their first year of high school all the way to medical school admission, potentially spanning over eight years. However, our packages offer flexibility for parents who are not prepared to make the long-term commitment yet, by offering monthly packages.
Q4: My child is in middle school or in college. Are they eligible for the program?
1. Middle school
We work with many highly motivated middle school students who are prepared to begin exploring careers in medicine early. From finding volunteer opportunities to strengthening applications for selective high schools, we provide guidance to students and families who may be interested in pre-med as high school students.
2. College
Currently, we are not accepting college students into our program. Our longitudinal program only works if our students employ the foundations that our mentors provide, starting in high school.
Q5: Does Nexus offer any free resources?
We are very active on social media and post free content to help support you on your premedical journey on topics ranging from research outreach to writing essays for summer programs and colleges.
