Too often, students only discover what it takes to gain admission into top pre‑med programs or medical schools once key opportunities have already passed.
We provide consistent, personalized advising tailored to your student’s long-term goals to get them into their dream college and medical school.
Through the Nexus Pipeline Program, we pair students with dedicated mentors who guide them through every stage of their pre‑medical development, from academic planning, tutoring, and research opportunities, to test preparation and application support. Each student works with the same mentor throughout their journey, ensuring individualized guidance that grows with them.
Don’t wait until college to begin exploring medicine: start now with Nexus and build the clarity, confidence, and competitive edge to succeed at top universities and medical schools.
I didn’t lack ambition: I lacked direction. At my alma mater, a private high school in New York City, I received the rigorous STEM foundation needed to thrive at an Ivy League university. Yet once I arrived on campus, I realized how unprepared I was for the realities of pursuing medicine. I didn’t know which classes, extracurriculars, research opportunities, or volunteer experiences would best deepen my understanding of the field or strengthen my commitment to medicine. Talking about medical school in high school had felt “too early,” but in hindsight, that silence was a missed opportunity for growth and clarity.
That realization became the seed for Nexus. We founded this organization to ensure students never lose those critical first years trying to find their bearings. In today’s fiercely competitive admissions landscape, early and strategic preparation isn’t optional: it’s essential. At Nexus, we give students the head start I wish I’d had, empowering them to explore medicine with purpose and enter every stage of their academic journey knowing, with the confidence to say: “I’m ready, and I truly want to be a doctor.”

Hi! I’m James, and I co-founded Nexus for a simple reason: to provide the guidance that I desperately needed throughout my pre-med journey as a first-generation student. After seeking support as a high schooler and undergraduate student, I could not find a pillar of support to help me through all the obstacles premedical students face. I am proud to not only offer this unique support to students but also to make our program accessible to all students, regardless of their background or financial status.

Hello, I’m Iya. I co-founded Nexus because I believe every aspiring pre-med student deserves a community that truly understands their journey. I wanted to create a space where students can gain clarity, confidence, and practical guidance, not just academically, but in navigating the emotional and logistical challenges of the medical path. I aim to provide this support to students from all backgrounds, ensuring that opportunity and mentorship are never out of reach.
